Privacy Policy
Beach Shift is the time clock and schedule app for Boucher Brothers staff. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers the Beach Shift iPhone and Apple Watch apps and this website.
What we collect
Every item below is linked to your employee record and used only to run the time clock and schedule.
- Precise location
- Taken once at each clock-in, break and clock-out, and checked against the property's geofence so a manager can confirm the punch was made on site. Location is not collected in the background or between punches. If location is denied, the app cannot record a punch. If the fix is poor or away from the property, the punch is still recorded and flagged for manager review.
- Email address
- Your login email. If you sign in with Google or Apple, the address that provider verified.
- Employee ID and timesheet data
- Your employee record and the punches themselves: clock-in, breaks and clock-out times, and the property where they were made.
- Device identifiers
- The iOS identifier for vendor (IDFV), plus your device model and OS version on each punch, and a push token so we can send roster notifications.
How we use it
We use this information to record your hours, confirm punches were made on the property, show you your published schedule, notify you about roster changes, and run payroll.
None of it is used for tracking or advertising, and none of it is sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Sign-in providers
If you sign in with Microsoft, Google or Apple, that provider shows its own sign-in screen and handles what you enter there under its own privacy policy. Beach Shift receives only the verified email address it needs to find your login.
How long we keep it
Punch and timesheet records are wage-and-hour records. We keep them for as long as employment and wage-and-hour law requires, and no less than three years after the pay period they belong to. The rest of your account information is kept while you work with us and archived when you leave.
Your account and your data
Beach Shift logins are created and archived by your managers, not by the app, which is why the app has no sign-up or delete account button. When you leave, your manager archives your login.
To ask what we hold about you, correct it, or ask about deleting it, contact your manager or email support@beachshift.app. Some records, such as punches, may have to be kept for the period above even after you ask.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the app collects, we will update this page and the date at the top.
